A 10 year old painting of Banksy depicting MPs as chimps is back on display in the Front Hall of Bristol Museum & Art Gallery to “mark Brexit Day” says Banksy on his Instagram post with a quote added, “Laugh now, but one day no-one will be in charge.”
The display marks 10 years since the Banksy versus Bristol Museum exhibition. It was first exhibited in the museum during the 2009 exhibition. The show attracted over 300,000 people and was one of the top ten most visited exhibitions anywhere in the world that year.
The painting is the artists’ largest work on canvas and shown now due to a loan from its private owner from the 28 March—1 September 2019.
